Operations Manager - Meat & Seafood Specialist – Supermarkets

Full Time and Permanent Role. Available to start immediately.

Guru Brothers PTY LTD is looking for a skilled Meat and Seafood Specialist to strengthen our supermarket operations across WA metro and regional locations.

Key Duties:

  • Develop department layouts, product ranging, and promotions to drive sales and presentation standards
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and wastage to maximize availability and profitability
  • Set and monitor gross profit targets and ensure departments achieve financial goals
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters, ensuring efficient labour use and service levels
  • Lead, train, and support department staff in compliance, food safety, and high-quality service

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years' senior-level experience in both meat and seafood departments
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate staff effectively
  • Ability to control costs while driving sales, GP, and operational standards
  • In-depth understanding of OHS, Food Safety, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent time management, communication, and planning skills
  • Flexible to travel to different store locations as required
  • Competent with IT systems and reporting
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them quickly
  • Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and brings a positive, can-do approach
