About the Role

Proline is looking to engage Project Managers , which you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Based in Mortlake, NSW, this full-time role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in construction project management. You will be responsible for overseeing every stage of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to completion and handover. Your leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills will be critical in driving project success while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and upholding our company's reputation for excellence.

This role involves managing commercial, industrial and Class 2 building projects, offering a dynamic and varied work environment. Whether leading high-end class 2 construction of apartment projects, office fit-outs, commercial and industrial construction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring each project meets client expectations and industry standards. The successful applicant should have appropriate project experience in either commercial, industrial, and Class 2 projects, with project values up to $30M.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure smooth project execution from initiation to completion.

Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.

Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasting to ensure projects remain financially viable and within scope.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, WHS regulations, and industry best practices, promoting a culture of safety on-site as a priority.

Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining high performance.

Quality Control: Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and implement quality assurance measures to deliver high-standard outcomes.

Procurement & Contract Management: Manage procurement processes, manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, and ensure contractual obligations are met efficiently.

Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present detailed progress reports, project documentation, and performance evaluations to senior management and stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project management role, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering commercial, industrial, and Class 2 projects.
  • Experience managing projects with values up to $30M.
  • Strong ability to lead, coordinate, and manage cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, ensuring clear direction and resolution of challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Project Simpel) and digital tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Qualifications in Construction Management, Diploma and or trade qualification or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management, financial risk mitigation, and cost control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, maintaining efficiency and quality.
  • Building Practitioner registration/license is an advantage though not essential
