Temporary/Casual Maintenance Officer Roles

Your new company

This is a great opportunity for someone with trades/maintenance experience for ongoing casual work at an Aged Care/Retirement Village facility. One role is based out of Western Sydney and the other is based out of the City of Ryde area and both sites have parking. The general hours are either a 7:00AM to 3:00PM or 7:30 to 3:30PM, but they can fluctuate slightly on certain days, and you will be joining the maintenance division of these companies.

Your New Job

You will be joining my client as a Maintenance Officer/Handyperson and will be doing a variety of preventative and reactive maintenance on site, and your general responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Basic Carpentry
  • Fixing doors/handles
  • Fixing furniture and beds
  • Painting/Patching
  • Coordinating contractors
  • Basic plumbing such as changing seals, blockages or taps

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ability to pass a police check and NDIS check
  • Previous maintenance or trades experience
  • Basic computer skills as you will be required to use reporting software
  • Good customer service and communication skills to interact with residents and contractors
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks
