Reporting to the Executive General Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.

Our Opportunity

This role is suited to a true hunter – a proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives on building relationships, creating leads, and closing deals. Success in this position is measured by achieving sales targets and business growth objectives, with strong incentives provided for high performance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Generating leads through networking, cold calling, industry events, and other channels.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects to achieve consistent sales results.
  • Negotiating pricing, supply terms, and agreements to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Consistently meet or exceed agreed sales and revenue targets.
  • Promoting the company's manufacturing capabilities, product innovations, and value proposition.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in business development or sales, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, sales, or a technical/manufacturing discipline (preferred but not essential).
  • A true hunter mindset with relentless drive to win new business.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and motivation, driven by results and incentives.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build pipelines, and close deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Unrestricted Australian work rights.
