Northern Rubber Lining is a growing business in the industrial services sector, delivering high-quality rubber lining and protective coating services across the Northern Territory. We are committed to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace and are now seeking a dedicated WHS Officer to help build and strengthen our safety management systems.
About the Role:
We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable WHS Officer who can support our team by developing, reviewing, and implementing safety policies, procedures, and documentation in line with NT WorkSafe and national regulations. This role will suit someone who is passionate about safety and enjoys working collaboratively to create a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
Prepare and maintain safety documentation (e.g., SWMS, SOPs, incident reports)
Assist with risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections
Support training and toolbox talks to improve team awareness of WHS practices
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and standards
Liaise with management to advise on corrective actions and improvements
Requirements:
Previous experience in a WHS or HSE role (preferably in an industrial or construction setting)
Strong knowledge of NT WorkSafe requirements and WHS legislation
Ability to write clear, practical, and compliant safety documents
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
