About the role
As the Part-time Health Clerk, you will be responsible for –
- Providing administrative duties efficiently
- Maintaining patient privacy and ensuring compliance with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards.
- Maintaining electronic and hard copy of health records, database, and information management systems.
- Communicating with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required.
About the Location
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2,500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Standard operating hours are , Monday-Friday.
About You
As the ideal applicant, you will have –
- At least 12 months of part-time or full-time experience in an administrative role
- Experience working in a clinical support role or medical reception, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care to patients.
- Experience in maintaining accurate and up-to-date record keeping in a clinical environment.
- Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance
- Working hours are from on Thursdays and Fridays
