An opportunity has become available for an experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join a government-owned organisation based in Darwin for a 3-month opportunity.

Your new role

This role is ideal for someone passionate about safety culture and continuous improvement, with the ability to influence WHS performance across diverse operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support WHS initiatives, investigations, and risk assessments
  • Deliver in-house training and promote behavioural safety practices
  • Provide guidance on operational safety requirements and compliance
  • Analyse WHS data and trends to inform performance improvements
  • Contribute to policy development and audit readiness

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in utilities, heavy industry, or similar environments (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and WHS qualifications (desirable)
  • NT Driver's Licence (or equivalent) required
