Your new role as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Experienced RN
The role of CNS, or experienced RN, is the delivery of exceptional nursing to the Surgical Unit of Hurstville Private Hospital. The CNS or experienced RN acts as a clinical resource and leader in the clinical setting.
The CNS (or experienced RN), in alignment with the Surgical Services Manager, through innovation and change, will continuously monitor and manage human and material resources within the Surgical ward. The CNS, or experienced RN, will review relevant clinical indicators to ensure the best possible outcomes and improve care, products and services to benefit all consumers.

Essential Criteria

Current Registration with AHPRA
-
Degree in Nursing and Health Management or Equivalent
-
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Surgical Unit or equivalent
-
Exceptional collaborative Interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care
-
Evidence of participation in the National Standards and implementing policies within a Surgical/Medical environment
-
Experience with computerised reporting systems
-
Commitment Professional Development and to a structured learning program for all staff
-
Membership of relevant professional organisation
You may also be able to demonstrate:
Desirable Criteria

Comprehensive understanding of financial and human resources management principles.
