We are looking for someone that is reliable, motivated, energetic and eager to become part of the team, to assist in producing great food as a Part Time Chef/Cook.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Experienced in a similar position desirable
- Enjoying working with and preparing quality food.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery desirable not essential.
- Able to work efficiently, whilst keeping a close eye for detail.
- Background in a la carte cooking.
- Experience working solo in a kitchen
- Can handle the pressure in a fast paced kitchen
- Team player
- Good written and oral communication skills
Tasks will Include;
- Prepare, store, and Maintain food products safely.
- Assist in food preparation, service and catering for the various food outlets within the hotel such as Breakfast, Dinner, Bar, functions, room service.
- Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
- Communicate efficiently and clearly with all team members in a harmonious way.
- Ensure that all standard recipes are followed.
- Monitor food quality and control
- Ensure all Food Safety and Hygiene Standards are adhered to at all times.
- Adhere to the Hotels Policies and Procedures.
The role is part-time with an immediate start to join our team.
Ideally available 7 days - Nights, Weekend and the occasional split shift availability essential.
