The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook to join our hospitality team. You'll play a vital role in creating delicious, nutritious, and visually appealing meals for our residents.

You will:

  • Prepare, cook and bake meals to meet individual dietary, cultural, and medical needs
  • Assist the Head Chef with food service planning, stock control, and compliance
  • Collaborate with the team on seasonal menus and continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Kitchen Hands
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen environment in line with aged care and food safety standards
  • Interact with residents in a respectful, kind, and inclusive manner, supporting choice and independence
About You
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Previous experience in an aged care kitchen environment
  • Strong baking skills (essential focus for this role)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

  • Experience catering for residents with dementia and complex food requirements
  • Awards or recognition for cooking achievements
