Catering HQ is seeking a talented and dedicated Function and Production Chef to join our amazing kitchen teams at Cronulla RSL.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
  • Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
  • Immaculate presentation and grooming
  • Ability to handle large service numbers
  • Exceptional customer care and service skills and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
  • Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
  • Planning, organising and overseeing events
  • Training, development and management of your team
  • Ensuring strict food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitored
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations whilst maintaining the high standards of food delivery
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning

KEY QUALITIES

  • A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Be flexible with working hours
  • Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
  • A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
