About the role

We are seeking a Paralegal to support our dynamic, friendly and inclusive professional team in our Adelaide office. The role will include:

  • Preparing legal documents, statutory notices, and court documents and correspondence
  • File management and client communication
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Assist solicitors with the day-to-day operations of files/client management
  • General administration including billing
  • Filing and general office / administration tasks

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must the following core values and skills:

  • Experience in a legal administration/paralegal role preferable
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large volumes of work
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands
  • Enjoy being part of a team committed to, and delivering, client excellence

Skills and experience

Oakbridge Lawyers shall provide on-the-job training in respect of our systems and documents. Previous experience in a legal setting is favourable though not essential. The position would be ideal for a law student who wants to also obtain exposure to, and experience in, the private legal sector (full time position). However, our over-riding focus is to secure a candidate that has the above core values and skills.
