The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven
Corporate Governance Specialist
to join our MyBudget team.

In this key role you will support our operations by enhancing governance, risk, and compliance frameworks. Reporting to the Senior Leader for Lending & Corporate Governance, you will ensure we remain resilient, well governed, and fully aligned with financial services obligations.

This position is central to MyBudget maintaining the delivery of trusted, world class financial services to our clients. It offers the chance to work across borders, applying your governance and compliance expertise within a dynamic organisation that is dedicated to improving people's lives.

What you'll do

Support risk management across the business by maintaining risk registers, monitoring emerging issues, and assisting leaders to manage risks.

Draft and review compliance materials, ensuring timely responses to ASIC and other regulatory requirements.

Provide paralegal support, including reviewing contracts, conducting legal research, and preparing regulatory filings.

Maintain accurate compliance and governance records in line with AFSL, ACL, privacy, and WHS requirements.

Assist in delivering policies, training, and workshops to embed strong governance practices across teams.

What you'll bring

Experience in governance, compliance, or legal roles

A background in financial services, risk management, or paralegal work (highly desirable).

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and support stakeholders.

Experience drafting policies, frameworks, and process documentation.

Confidence with tools such as Google Workspace; experience with Protecht is an advantage.

Relevant qualifications in business, law, financial services, or mortgage broking are desirable but not essential.
