Description:
Network Design and Implementation: Architectural design, high-level and low-level design of an IP network in the telco industry
Developing and Implementing Security Architecture:
Telecom security architects design the overall security framework for the network, including the selection and deployment of security technologies and controls.
Network Security:
- Design and implement network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC).
- Documentation and Standardization: Documenting network configurations, procedures, and policies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Collaboration:
- Working with other network designers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure network requirements are met
- Review and assess the current state of the IT architecture and existing security controls.
- Perform threat Modeling activities to support the solution design process and identify opportunities for improving the posture of existing systems.
- Design and implement enterprise security architecture across network, application, and cloud environments. Integrate appropriate security controls and technologies into enterprise systems, including cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure.
- Recommend and support the remediation of identified vulnerabilities and architectural gaps.
- Developed a comprehensive suite of documents encompassing cybersecurity standards, procedures, frameworks, and processes.
- Conducted comprehensive maturity assessments against VPDSS, ISM, and Essential 8 standards. Identified technical, logical, and administrative security gaps, ensuring a thorough understanding of the current security posture.
- Developed a three-year cybersecurity strategy addressing identified gaps, aligned with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
- Created a Security Architecture Catalogue to outline and communicate team services.
- Conducted threat and risk assessments on legacy systems, developing standardized processes and templates for ongoing evaluations.
CCIE, CISSP, CCSP, CISM & PCNSE certifications and hands-on experience.
