About the Opportunity

A unique opportunity is available to join the Glenelg Libraries team as our Child and Youth Services Officer. If you have a passion for lifelong learning for children and young people in our community, love creativity, reading stories and singing songs then this role may be for you.

This is a permanent part time position 14 hours per week (Tuesday and Friday), based in Portland and working across our library branches and other locations in the Shire.

What you need to Succeed

  • Relevant qualifications with limited experience or lesser formal qualification with demonstrated work skills and relevant experience.
  • Experience in libraries or community development and/or working with children/young people.
  • Experience in program development and facilitation.
  • Customer service and public presentation experience.
  • Ability to manage time and set work priorities and objectives.
  • Experience working in partnerships.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Ongoing satisfactory Police Check.
  • Valid Working with Children Check card (Employee).
