About the role

MLS Built is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team in the inner-north. This full-time role is responsible for managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiating agreements to maintaining accurate records and driving contract renewals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management

  • Prepare, review, and administer head contracts and subcontracts in line with project requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, legal obligations, and company policies.
  • Manage contract variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and progress claims.
  • Procurement & Cost Control

  • Coordinate procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.

  • Prepare tender packages, evaluate bids, and assist in subcontractor negotiations.
  • Track project budgets, monitor expenditure, and report cost performance.
  • Project Support & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate project records, registers, and correspondence.

  • Prepare contract-related reports for the Project Manager and senior management.
  • Assist in dispute resolution and claims management as required.
  • Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with architects, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clarity of scope and smooth project execution.

  • Support the project team in delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator in the construction industry, preferably on high-end residential or luxury projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and contract administration software
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
