The Role:

If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for building strong supplier partnerships and helping to drive value across the supply chain…..then this may be your dream role

Based at our new offices and warehouse in Smithfield, this role will primarily see you be responsible for ensuring that our logistics operations in NSW keep moving and growing efficiently You will play a key role in assisting Hydraulink to source the right products, at the right time, for the best value. Alongside this you will ensure effective purchase order management and that supplier relationships being managed effectively.

This is a great role for someone with some experience in purchasing and logistics OR someone from within the industry with a strong warehousing background wanting to take the next step in their career.

What you will be doing:

Investigating and securing material sources, assuring that all products supplied meet 100% specification, on time delivery, full quantity, long term continuity, and cost savings.

Proactively managing local supplier relationships.

Tracking orders and maintaining delivery date accuracy in PRONTO.

A wide variety of reporting

Data management and updating in our system as required

Liaising with Customer Services to ensure stock availability inquiries are promptly answered

Providing the customer with accurate and up to date information regarding product delivery.

About the person:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the hydraulic hose & fitting industry OR a similar industrial industry
  • Previous experience in purchasing and logistics or warehousing
  • Computer savvy and able to use a variety of programmes (use of Pronto is advantageous)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great communication & interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed time management skills
