Logistics Officer / Parts Interpreter - Immediate Start

Our client, a leading Australian-owned manufacturer of large-scale fuel tanks, fuel trailers, and commercial fuel systems, is expanding its workforce due to increased new and repeat business. We seek an experienced and motivated Logistics Officer / Parts Interpreter to join their team at their workshop in the Western Suburbs of Sydney.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate stock control operations with workshop staff and the stores, sales, and finance departments.
- Place and receive orders to replenish stocks as needed.
- Analyse supply chain data to ensure uninterrupted availability of stock.
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock situations.
- Evaluate vendors' and suppliers' offers and negotiate profitable purchase prices.
- Collaborate closely with engineers for hangar maintenance jobs to support necessary purchases.
- Place orders for urgent parts.
- Assist the sales team in providing services to external clients.
- Ensure control of repair orders for all unserviceable items.
- Track shipments and coordinate internal stock transfers, resolving any delays.
- Maintain a steady flow of stock to and from our company sites.
- Oversee stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labelling.
- Perform regular inventory audits and adhere to stock purchasing budgets.
- Maintain and update daily shipment records, purchases, and pricing reports.
- Accomplish other duties as directed by management.

**Job Requirements**:

- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Parts (Ideally)
- Valid Forklift License and proficiency in forklift operating skills (Ideally)
- Experience in procurement and inventory management.
- Ability to handle inventory levels and maintain correct stock levels using computerised logistics inventory systems.
- Proficient in recording and managing freight.
