Role Summary:

The Australia O&M Manager is responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of solar PV+BESS plants in Australia. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and compliance of all assets, while leading a team of Site Supervisors and subcontractors, including the Full O&M Contractor. The manager will also be responsible for O&M Contract negotiation, drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and root cause analysis of operational events.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of solar PV+BESS plants across the region supported by the Site Managers.
  2. Ensure high plant availability and performance through the execution of the O&M Contracts, the identification and implementation of technical improvements, and the RCA and action plan of operational incidents.
  3. Develop and implement monitoring protocols and reporting systems, including KPIs, and generate performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  5. Prepare annual budget, perform cost control and production forecasting.
  6. Prepare technical specifications for O&M contracts and lead commercial negotiations.
  7. Lead and supervise regional O&M teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in solar PV operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system components, SCADA, and monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with CMMS and digital maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and grid compliance.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
