Due to growth and high demand, Ringwood Mazda requires a skilled and detail-oriented Tyre Fitter & Wheel Alignment Technician to join our automotive service team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a specific focus on tyre repairs and replacement with wheel alignment experience.

As a Tyre and Wheel Alignment Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing tyre damage and wear, carrying out puncture repairs and replacing tyres as required.

Performing necessary adjustments, and ensuring that all vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

You will work closely with other technicians and service advisors to provide the ultimate customer experience with a mind set on fix it right the first time.

Attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential qualities for this position. In addition to tyre repairs, replacement and alignment tasks, you may also be required to assist with other general automotive repairs and maintenance duties as needed.

You Will be responsible for:

  • Replacing tyres and balancing wheels
  • Carry out Puncture repairs
  • Ensure all tyre repair and alignment equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Perform wheel alignments on various types of vehicles.
  • Diagnose alignment issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Adjust vehicle suspension and steering components to manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect and test drive vehicles to ensure proper alignment.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed.
  • Assist with other general automotive repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest alignment techniques and technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns.
  • Order and manage inventory of alignment-related parts and supplies.
  • Perform quality control checks on completed alignments.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Experience:

  • Previous and current trade experience in the industry
  • Hold a current driver's licence
  • Great communication skills
  • Experience with working in an active team environment
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
