About Us

Local Kitchen Co is one of South Australia's fastest-growing food businesses. We're passionate about supporting local farmers, nourishing our community, and creating meaningful career pathways for our team of 50+ (and growing).

The Role

We're looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Coordinator to join our team during this exciting stage of growth. This newly created role will be key to building strong systems, supporting our managers, and creating a positive employee experience across all areas of the business.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Assist managers with rostering, performance management, and staff engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support payroll with timesheet and award interpretation queries.
  • Champion staff wellbeing initiatives and a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide general HR support and advice to the leadership team.

About You

  • Previous HR coordination/assistant experience (hospitality or retail a bonus).
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work, awards, and compliance.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A hands-on team player who can balance admin with people support.
  • HR qualification (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) desirable but not essential.

What We Offer

  • Be part of a fast-growing South Australian business with a big community mission.
  • Supportive, down-to-earth leadership team that values input and fresh ideas.
  • Opportunities for career development as we continue to expand.
