Business Angels is a Brisbane-based family-owned bookkeeping firm that provides full-service, end-to-end bookkeeping for small business clients across a wide range of industries. We love what we do, we love seeing our clients succeed, and we're looking for an exceptional and very experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and client-centric Senior Bookkeeper who thrives on helping clients succeed. This is not just a data-entry role — you will be hands-on, managing complex bookkeeping tasks including Balance Sheet reconciliations, payroll, GST, and E-commerce bookkeeping.
This is a full-time, work-from-home position (yay). Hours are standard business hours, and while we expect full availability, we also value work/life balance and understand family commitments such as school pick-ups.

We are open to applicants based in Australia and overseas (direct hire only – no agencies).
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A quiet, private workspace with a secure internet connection (essential).
- We will provide you with a company laptop and dual screens.
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (essential).
- At least 5+ years bookkeeping and payroll experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Balance Sheet reconciliations (payroll liability accounts, GST, loans, intercompany accounts, etc.).
- Strong experience in E-commerce bookkeeping (essential).
- Advanced Xero skills (essential). MYOB experience (highly regarded).
- Exceptional organisational skills — able to manage multiple clients with varying needs and deadlines (essential).
- A client-first mindset, positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Confidence with technology, apps, and learning new systems.
Key Responsibilities
- (AP) Processing and coding supplier invoices.
- (AR) Accounts receivable data entry and reconciliation.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations.
- End-of-month Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Weekly payroll processing and finalisation.
- GST and payroll liability reconciliations.
- E-commerce transaction and platform reconciliations.
- Delivering accurate, timely reporting that supports client success.
- Client communication and support as required.
