Meanwhile Use Service Manager

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic staff manager to lead our client facing staff in our Meanwhile Use services. The newly formed position of Meanwhile Use Service Manager will play an integral leadership role within WCS Housing Innovation team. With a focus on ensuring quality service delivery in our medium-term accommodation solutions for women who have experienced homelessness and/or domestic and family violence the Meanwhile Use Service Manager will help build local partnerships, provide advice to staff and drive quality outcomes for service users.

The role will have a primary focus on providing support and guidance to a team of experienced Case Managers and Support Workers who work to transition service users into long term housing outcomes.

Location: Various sites

Work type: Minimum of 30 hours per week

Salary type: This role is paying between $55.72 to $58.19 per hour

About WCS

Women's Community Shelters (WCS) was established in 2013 to build community capacity and response to women's homelessness, including domestic and family violence. WCS works with communities to establish new shelters which provide short term emergency accommodation and support in a safe environment.

Under a tripartite model, WCS brings together government, community and philanthropy to fund the establishment and ongoing operation of shelters and other innovative housing solutions.

As a Tier 3 Community Housing provider, WCS relies on traditional and innovative housing solutions to achieve positive individual outcomes for women with and without children.

About You

Essential skills and experience:

· Tertiary or other qualifications within the Community Services, Social Work or similar (minimum Diploma Level) or 3 years' experience in a comparative role.

· Demonstrated understanding of family violence and gender-based violence in a homelessness context.

· Proven experience coordinating teams within community or accommodation services' environments.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop and manage partnerships.

· Strong knowledge of trauma informed practice and risk management.

· Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and external standards that apply to relevant work practices.

· Experience managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and driving service improvement.

· Experience in budget and reporting management.

· Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and software operating systems.

· Hold a current unrestricted NSW drivers' licence.

· Clearance outcomes on mandatory compliance checks including, Working With Children's Check and National Police Check.
