Due to ongoing growth and transformation, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our expanding team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to the future of our venues and be part of a project that will redefine our member and guest experience.

The Group operates across two thriving venues – St Marys Diggers Club and St Marys Band Club – located in the heart of Western Sydney. With 20,000+ members, over 80 staff, and a strong community presence, we are proud to be a leading hospitality provider in the region.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and leadership to our team. You will be:

  • Experienced in hospitality operations
  • Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service
  • A strong team player with collaborative leadership skills
  • A confident, inspiring people leader
  • Flexible to work across our two venues (within 1km of each other)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Club, ensuring seamless service delivery and compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor staff to drive high performance, engagement, and exceptional customer service standards.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for staff, members, and guests, including Fire Warden and First Aid responsibilities.
  • Manage compliance obligations, including RSA, RCG, Responsible Gambling, and Club policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with regulators, NSW Police, and Security teams to ensure operational integrity and safety.
  • Resolve member and guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring positive engagement outcomes.
  • Conduct staff briefings, monitor performance, and complete end-of-shift and incident reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the venue is maintained to the highest standard of safety, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.

About you:

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership experience in supervising/managing teams within hospitality or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage staff, members, and guests
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Advanced computer literacy and solid compliance/reporting knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of gaming, TAB, Keno, F&B, and cash-handling practices
  • Professional presentation, grooming, and customer engagement standards
  • Passion for professional development and the hospitality industry

Qualifications and Availability

  • Previous experience as a Club Duty Manager or Supervisor.
  • Current NSW RSA and RCG (ARCG) certifications.
  • Senior First Aid certification
  • Able to work hospitality hours including days, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work late nights and weekends
