Perth Rheumatology is seeking a motivated, friendly, patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our practice. We are offering a part time role working 4 days/week.

Role Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist our patients and visitors - providing exceptional customer service, empathy and care.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, promptly and courteously
  • Booking and managing patient appointments
  • Managing patient enquiries, on the telephone, email and fax
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Attend to all general office duties as required

What we're are looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical specialist reception role is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service and the ability to work well independently
  • Proficiency in Genie medical practice management software
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients
  • As this is not an entry level position and you will need to work autonomously quickly, experience in a specialist medical practice is essential
