James & Wells is looking for a BD & Marketing professional to join our team and support the growth of our firm across the Australasian market and beyond.

This is a full time role (38 hours per week) based in our Brisbane office.

About the role

As a Business Development and Marketing Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth and enhancing the visibility of James & Wells both within the Australasian market and internationally. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic business development initiatives and deliver marketing programs that strengthen our market position.

Supporting the Business Development Team, some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of business development plans and initiatives that align with the firm's strategic goals
  • Preparation and coordination of tenders, capability statements, client presentations and proposals to support business growth
  • Conducting market, client and competitor research and analysis to inform business strategies
  • Coordinating the firm's submissions to industry directories, rankings, and awards to enhance visibility and reputation within the market
  • Development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns including digital, social media, events, thought leadership and content marketing
  • Management of the company website and social media platforms to ensure up-to-date, relevant, and engaging content
  • Create and maintain branded firm collateral such as brochures, presentations, business cards and other marketing materials

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in business development and marketing, preferably within professional services (legal, IP, consulting, or related fields), as well as a proven track record supporting business growth and executing marketing campaigns.

In addition to this , you will also need to demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in Canva and WordPress for content creation, design, and website management
  • Experience working with CRM systems to manage client relationships and track business development activities
  • Experience with content creation, social media management, and event coordination.
  • Strong data analysis skills including interpretation of marketing metrics and leveraging insights to optimise campaigns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent professional writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and well-structured content tailored to diverse audiences and purposes
  • The ability to work independently effectively manage competing priorities
