Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Business Development Representative to support our Armament Systems business unit based in Plymouth, Minnesota.
Job Summary
This position will report to the Director of Business Development for Ammunition and will perform the duties of a Business Development Representative. In this role, the ideal candidate will Identify and implement business development projects relating to new products and/or industries, technologies, or services. Identifies markets, licensing opportunities, and determines the feasibility of product development. Perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities and/or business models and coordinates with internal departments in identifying/implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing and potential customers to determine their needs. Develop and disseminate information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Ammunition operating unit and Program teams to develop customer relationships with existing and new customers, including senior company and government agency leaders to ensure products and company are well known and respected.
- Support capture managers on various pursuits; customer relationship development (Prime OEMs and US Government customer) to understand need, budget, timelines, and competitor capability.
- Work with project leads to assist in new business strategies in line with the current business overarching strategy.
- Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Work under only very general supervision.
- Contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals
- Create, update, and maintain SalesForce records to support new business opportunity pursuits, and gate reviews.
- Assist the program teams and BD leads with marketing and communications plans to support the specific opportunities.
- Regularly report to the company's Management Team the status of all major opportunities assigned, and the status toward achieving the awards plan.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have 6 years of experience. Will consider a bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree strongly preferred.
- Familiarity and ability to work within the Northrop Grumman Enterprise processes and procedures to include Salesforce
- Understand the DoD & intelligence budgets and marketplace
- Working knowledge of U.S. Government procurement policies and regulations
- Active Secret Clearance
