About the role

Are you an experienced General Practice receptionist looking to join a dynamic & supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team?

Our dynamic team at Priority Health Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic, capable and dependable medical receptionist with proven general practice experience, to join us in a part time capacity of 2-4 days per week.

In this role you will be providing high quality patient service as the first point of contact for patients and play a crucial role in administrative support for patients and clinical staff to ensure the smooth operations of the clinic.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing high quality patient service including patient greeting, enquiries & support.
  • Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling telephone enquiries
  • Accurately processing payments (Medicare/DVA/Private), managing invoices, arrears, and maintaining accurate financial records,
  • Providing a range of administrative and operational support for the practice, our GPs and clinical staff.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 1 year fulltime experience in General Practice reception duties.
  • Proficiency in general practice medical software. Experience with Medical Director and Pracsoft is desirable.
  • Highly dependable and organised, with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • An adaptable, supportive team player who contributes positively & collaboratively to team success
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, demonstrated with maturity and professionalism
  • Ability to work some opening / closing sessions
  • Flexibility in working part-time hours with the reception team, to cover operational hours.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare and patient care
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
