The Opportunity
We've secured a diverse range of major commercial developments in office, retail, industrial, government, education, health, and aged-care sectors across Greater Sydney and Newcastle.
We are seeking Senior Building Surveyors to lead these projects from design through completion. You will manage complex approvals, conduct inspections and compliance assessments, and mentor junior surveyors while delivering service excellence to our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex building surveying projects from initial assessment through to final certification.
- Provide authoritative advice on the National Construction Code (NCC) and Building Code of Australia (BCA).
- Undertake detailed inspections, reports, and regulatory assessments for large-scale commercial developments.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to develop their technical capability.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and government authorities to resolve compliance issues.
Ideal Qualifications
- TAFE or university qualification in
Building Surveying
or
Construction Management
. - Minimum 5–7 years
of professional experience in building surveying, including leadership of large commercial projects. - Current or eligible NSW A1 or A3 Building Surveyor registration
. - In-depth knowledge of the NCC, BCA, and relevant state legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Australian driver's license.
- Must be an
Australian or New Zealand citizen
, permanent resident, or hold
unlimited working rights in Australia
. - Located within a
commutable distance to Manly, NSW
