About the Company

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager or senior Bookkeeper to take the reigns of this successful SME based on the Northern Beaches area, Sydney. They are a well known brand and are seeking a candidate to start asap to maximise handover.

About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the overall financial function of the business and being able to manage and provide insight into all financial matters. You will be responsible for

  • The revision and analysis of company performance to produce quality management reports
  • Interpret financial information and provide commercial commentary communication on this information
  • Develop process improvements to streamline reporting
  • Generating weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting on profitability and overall business position
  • Providing insights into company expenditure
  • Building credibility with business units through provision of first class internal stakeholder management
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • versight of accounts payable and receivable and weekly payroll and ensure payroll compliance
  • Strengthening internal controls and improving financial processes

About You

You will be

  • Customer service focused: written, phone and face to face
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others
  • Commercial in your approach: with the ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner
  • Have the willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frames given
