PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Are you a passionate Barista Trainer? Or a Head Barista or Cafe manager looking to take the next step as a Barista Trainer? Foodco is looking for their next Barista Trainer to join the team. Applicants ideally need barista experience in higher volume cafes with various espresso machines and grinders and must be able to deliver training to groups of up to 16 people. This role will support the National Coffee Support Manager in delivering coffee training to franchise partners for our brands Jamaica Blue and Muffin Break both in-store and at our Sydney training facility. You will be required to update our online coffee training courses so experience with any online training set up or maintenance preferred

Key role responsibilities will include:

  • Execute coffee training to new and existing Franchisees and the Foodco team.
  • Coffee training will be delivered either at the Foodco training facility in Sydney or located within our cafe network. Interstate travel is a requirement of this role.
  • Support the Head of Coffee and the National Coffee Support Manager in overseeing supply and service continuity of coffee and equipment.
  • Assess barista standards in the network by building strong, supportive relationships with our franchise partners.
  • Assist successful execution of our annual Foodco National Barista Competition.
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Coffee and National Coffee Support Manager.
  • Further development and facilitation of coffee training programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advantageous to possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Knowledge of coffee, espresso machines & grinders and coffee industry in general.
  • Highly organised and self motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a diverse team.
  • Results focused and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Current Driver's Licence (essential).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in coffee training or similar roles (coaching, mentoring, group facilitation)
  • Ability to engage all learner types with engaging coffee training sessions
  • Moderate computer literacy including MS Office Suite
