Corporate Affairs and Media Senior Advisor

What You'll Do
In this exciting 12 month fixed term contract you will be responsible for:
- Lead the development and execution of NRMA's media strategy across traditional, digital, and emerging channels
- Drive strategic growth of national media engagement, particularly beyond NSW and ACT
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing high-level counsel on messaging, socio-political developments and reputational risks
- Translate policy recommendations into impactful public communications, including writing high-quality media releases, speeches, opinion pieces, and media statements for executive leadership
- Provide support to the Head of Media, including leadership within the team and acting as Head of Media when required
- Serve as a media spokesperson, delivering articulate and professional messages to print, radio, and TV news outlets
- Drive innovation in media engagement, including the use of AI and analytics to refine strategies and trial new technologies
What You'll Bring
- 10 years' experience in media / public relations and issues management
- Extensive experience developing and delivering integrated communications strategies
- Proven expertise in leading crisis response and issues management for high-profile organisations
- Strong leadership skills, including mentoring communications professionals and providing counsel to C-suite executives and Board members
- Superior writing skills with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences and platforms
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, or related field would be highly desirable
- Proven ability to perform as a spokesperson across all media outlets, including live television and radio
- Extensive understanding of Australia's media landscape and a well-established network of media relationships
