Lighthouse Search & Selection has been exclusively engaged to search and appoint the new Head of Corporate Affairs for this ASX listed organisation.

The Head of Corporate Affairs will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of this organisation's external communications and media engagement, as well as guaranteeing the brand is protected and strengthened by ensuring their position is clearly expressed through media coverage.

This Sydney based role will act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on high-profile media issues, crisis management, reputation strategy and executive visibility across national and international platforms ensuring alignment of media strategy with corporate objectives, investor relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and lead the enterprise-wide media and communications strategy aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the Executive Leadership Team on media positioning, issues management, and reputation risk.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of high-impact thought leadership and executive profiling initiatives.
  • Act as company spokesperson and lead media engagement across all channels, including national and international media.
  • Ensuring consistency in messaging across ASX announcements and corporate reporting.
  • Lead crisis communication planning and response, including development of holding statements and executive briefings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior journalists, editors, and media influencers.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing communications team, fostering capability development and succession planning.

Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in media, public relations, communications, business or similar.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in senior communications roles, preferably within listed or complex corporate environments.
  • A client focused approach to communications solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in communications within a financial or listed entity will be highly regarded.
