The Workforce Development Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping the Queensland Hydro workforce development strategy for the Borumba Project.
Strategic and operational workforce opportunities and risks are identified, a comprehensive Workforce Development Plan is developed, and strategies are implemented to address challenges and maximise opportunities.
A collaborative framework is established with key stakeholders within Queensland Hydro, delivery partners, and external stakeholders to meet project requirements.
- Developing and implementing the Workforce Development Plan.
- Ensuring plan alignment with targets, requirements, and commitments under Queensland Government policies for workforce development and training.
- Engaging key stakeholders in the development of a collaborative framework.
- Leading the gathering, analysis, and utilisation of local, state, and national workforce market intelligence.
- Providing analytical and strategic insight on market conditions.
- Preparing regular reports.
To be successful, candidates should hold a degree-level qualification in Business, Commerce, Management, or equivalent, combined with significant experience in workforce development or recruitment management.
Australian driver license (C-class motor vehicle) and minimum 5 years' experience in workforce development, training, recruitment, social inclusion, or resourcing strategies are also required.
Experience working with employment service providers, government, and regulatory bodies is highly valued.
Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop and deliver effective strategies, are essential for this role.
