About the Role:

Our small, boutique medical centre in Newcastle is seeking a capable and nurturing Practice Manager or Medical Receptionist to support our clinicians and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You'll play a central role in keeping the practice running with care and efficiency—supporting both staff and patients with a gentle, can-do approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operations and bringing structure and calm to the clinic
  • Leading and supporting a small, friendly team
  • Coordinating rosters and ensuring smooth patient flow
  • Managing invoicing, billing, and daily financial tasks
  • Liaising with private hospitals and managing referrals and correspondence

About You:

You're organised, approachable, and confident in managing the needs of a busy practice with kindness and professionalism.

You'll ideally have:

  • Prior Practice Management experience, or 2+ years as a Senior Medical Receptionist
  • Strong working knowledge of Best Practice or VIP medical software
  • Experience in medical billing, debtors, and Xero would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-first attitude
