Our client in the education sector is seeking an experienced Head of Finance (part-time) to take ownership of financial performance and play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's strategic direction. This is a high-impact role where deadlines matter, results are expected, and your insights directly influence growth and operational success.
What you'll do
- Own all aspects of financial management — budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and cash flow — consistently delivering results on schedule
- Provide strategic financial analysis and advice to the CEO and Board to guide decision-making and support organisational goals.
- Build and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and processes to safeguard operations and optimise performance.
- Collaborate with internal leaders and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and partners, to deliver timely, accurate insights.
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering accountability, development, and results-driven performance.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in senior finance management, ideally in education, training, or NFP sectors.
- Demonstrated success in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management, with a track record of delivering results on time.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business strategy.
- CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent).
- A collaborative, values-driven leader who thrives in a purpose-led, high-accountability environment.
