The Role:

This Senior role will Manage ORG representation in high stake national and stakeholder discussions, leading the States significant governance obligations on several national facing working groups and committees. This Senior role will ensure the State's implementation of the national requirements and reforms required through the 2011 Intergovernmental Agreement on E-Conveyancing (IGA) and through our membership on ARNECC. You will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Represent South Australia on all National E-Conveyancing Group, ensuring active participation and strategic input into national discussions and developments including through the drafting and settling of papers and correspondence.
  • Lead the state's input into the National Data Standard, ensuring alignment with national uplifts and maintaining currency with evolving standards and practices.
  • Occasionally representing the State at ARNECC and NECDS meetings as a delegate of the Registrar General.
  • Provide expert policy advice and strategic direction to support the continued uptake of e-conveyancing across the state, including stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Undertake significant research and analysis to identify and prioritise additional document types for inclusion in e-conveyancing, aligned with the national implementation timeline.
  • Coordinate and manage scheduled meetings, reporting, and operating agreements with Electronic Lodgment Network Operators (ELNOs) to ensure compliance with the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) and Electronic Conveyancing National Law (ECNL).
  • Presenting and representing on behalf of the ORG on all E-conveyancing matters to industry and stakeholder groups.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • Intricate knowledge of National E-Conveyancing Law, the IGA, and the role and responsibility of ARNECC and associated working groups.
  • Intricate knowledge of the E-Conveyancing statutory and practical environment.
  • Experience in managing regulatory functions at a National level.
  • Experience in leading negotiations and settling agreements in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in managing projects, resources and business plans.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing expert advisory and governance services at management level.

Desirable Qualification:

Qualifications in Law or Conveyancing or commensurate experience within the Conveyancing, Property Law or Real Estate Industry.

Special Conditions

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
