Role Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Conveyancing Associate to join our high-performing Conveyancing Team. This full-time role is based at our Flinders Street office and offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential conveyancing matters while contributing to the smooth operation of our team. Reporting to the Conveyancing Team Lead, you will be responsible for preparing residential conveyancing transactions, Form 1s, and providing administrative support across the team. You'll manage client communications, assist with file administration, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare residential conveyancing transactions and Form 1s
  • Provide administrative support including inbox and phone management, LTO lodgements, and meeting agendas
  • Manage conveyancing file administration including opening/closing files and invoicing
  • Conduct property searches and prepare draft documents
  • Use practice management systems effectively and in line with firm procedures
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to the Conveyancing Team Lead

About You

You'll bring experience in conveyancing and team support, with strong communication and IT skills. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are highly organised, and have a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in residential conveyancing and Form 1 preparation
  • Strong administrative skills including invoicing and file management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with PEXA, SAILIS, and document processing software
  • Experience with LEAP practice management system (desirable)

Professional Development

This role provides exposure to a large and experienced Conveyancing team that works alongside our legal team. You'll have the ability to quickly build your Conveyancing skills and experience working on a wide range of property, development and business matters with the support of Senior Conveyancers, Lawyers and Operations Professionals.
