As the Academic Lead - Health Leadership at the Department of Medical Education, you'll spearhead cutting-edge leadership programs for healthcare professionals. You'll drive curriculum innovation for the Graduate Certificate of Health Leadership and expand business-to-business offerings across Australia, New Zealand, and South/Southeast Asia. This role offers you the chance to significantly influence the next generation of healthcare leaders and shape the future of healthcare leadership education in the region.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Curriculum Development: Design and refine innovative health leadership courses, coordinating the Graduate Certificate program and developing new subjects.
Drive Program Expansion: Develop business cases for program growth, including potential Grad Dip and Masters offerings.
Foster International Partnerships: Establish and grow business-to-business leadership programs across Australia, New Zealand, and South/Southeast Asia.
Champion Educational Excellence: Ensure all programs align with the UoM Framework for Educational Excellence and represent the Melbourne Medical School nationally and internationally.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced academic leader in health professional education with a strong track record in evidence-based leadership program development, curriculum design, and fostering international partnerships.
You may also:
Hold a health professional degree registerable in Australia and a postgraduate qualification in medical or health professional education.
Have a PhD in leadership or a related field.
Possess extensive experience in curriculum design and teaching at the postgraduate level.
Demonstrate significant scholarly contributions to health professional education.
Have outstanding communication skills and experience in stakeholder management.
Hold a current Victorian Driver's licence and Working with Children Check.
