Position Description
Join a globally recognised creative team, where people and culture are just as important as the projects we deliver.
At Mandylights, we design and deliver cutting-edge lighting productions for events around the world. As our People & Culture Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping an inclusive, vibrant, and high-performing workplace that supports our teams across Sydney, Melbourne and the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the entire employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition to strategic HR initiatives, and contribute directly to the continued success of a dynamic, creative company.
What you'll be doing:
Culture & Strategy
- Develop and implement people strategies that support business growth, inclusion, and innovation.
- Lead internal cultural programs and initiatives that align with Mandylights' values.
- Ensure HR policies are compliant, globally inclusive, and aligned with our collaborative ethos.
- Design and deliver initiatives that celebrate employee success and foster engagement across all locations.
Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment — from writing job descriptions to final onboarding.
- Build and maintain a direct talent pipeline through strategic outreach and internal networks.
- Partner with hiring managers to forecast and meet future staffing needs.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience that reflects Mandylights' professionalism and values.
Talent Development
- Design and implement training programs that address skill gaps and future business needs.
- Build internal capability through workshops, mentoring initiatives and structured development plans.
- Support managers in developing clear and meaningful career progression pathways.
Compliance & Legal
- Stay ahead of employment legislation and ensure compliance across Australia and the UK.
- Manage employee relations and support dispute resolution through robust policy and legal frameworks.
HR Operations
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, salary negotiation, reviews, and exits.
- Manage the HRIS with a focus on data accuracy, reporting, and actionable insights.
- Lead performance review processes and maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Monitor leave, attendance and punctuality — and ensure proactive follow-up where needed.
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years of HR or People & Culture experience, ideally across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
- Proven success in designing and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong HRIS and data reporting skills.
- Deep knowledge of Australian employment law (UK experience a bonus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you're trusted, diplomatic, and practical.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sharp attention to detail.
- Experience in creative, fast-paced, or project-based environments is a plus.
Why Mandylights?
We're not just a lighting design company — we're a creative team that thrives on pushing boundaries. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne and the UK, and a portfolio of high-profile international projects, we offer the opportunity to do meaningful work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
