Leichhardt office (hybrid working) with site travel to other properties across Sydney
Package:
Negotiable for the right candidate- Circa $200k- $220k + super + NFP Salary packaging allowance
In your role as Head of Facilities Management:
This role will be based at the Leichhardt office where your team will be based, with travel required to other sites across Sydney, along with a hybrid working from home arrangement.
Our client cover a large portfolio from Eastern suburbs, north to Mosman and the lower north shore, west to Austral and south to the shire.
They own several strategic assets within the portfolio along with 100+ additional assets that are mainly managed by agents.
You will be leading the facilities management team and working closely with the development team. This role will involve a high level of project management.
Stakeholder liaison and management is key in this role and you will be required to brief and provide advice to key stakeholders and present to executive leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities in your role as Head of Facilities Management:
- The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Director of Property & Infrastructure by managing and being responsible for facilities planning and asset management of owner properties and supporting its 130+ other their assets
- You will have full budget responsibility for the maintenance and compliance of the portfolio
- Contract negotiation and tendering for subcontractors and relevant services
- Managing and mentoring a small team of Facilities Managers and Assistants to support their career development and lead by example
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors, providing reliable advice and technical knowledge
- Act as the single point of contact for all facilities management matters within the team
- Manage all service contracts
- Manage health and safety systems and compliance
- Responsible for reporting, budgeting and proactively identifying ongoing process improvements, whilst adhering to all property related regulatory and government obligations
- Planning for capex and opex expenditure across assets in accordance with PPM requirement and priority projects
- Manage the relationships with managing agents across a range of commercial and residential leases
- Preparation and management of 10-year maintenance forecast budget and annual budget preparation
- Manage and negotiate renewals of service contracts and identify new service providers
To be considered for this role, we are looking for the following experience:
- Extensive experience in facilities management within multi-site portfolios
- Experience in negotiating and managing service provider contracts
- Project management experience at a range of scales and budgets
- Professional manner and presentation
