*Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role

The General Manager of SEAP will drive the aftermarket business's strategic and operational excellence across 3 subregions (NEA, SEA, ANZ), encompassing Japan, S Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader to optimize profitability, expand market share, and cultivate high-performing teams across diverse markets.

*Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a 3–5-year regional strategy aligned with APAC regional and global objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability through market penetration, product innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify the opportunities for the plant in Adelaide and forge strategic partnerships.

P&L Accountability

  • Oversee regional P&L, budgets, and financial forecasting, drive full achievement of financial and business metrics, including revenue, margin, cost to serve, specific targeted EBIT and OWC results.
  • Implement cost-control measures without compromising growth or quality.
  • Drive to formulate, implement, monitor, control, evaluate & improve short-term & long-term business strategy.

Market Expansion

  • Lead market-entry strategies for emerging economies (e.g., Vietnam, Philippines, New Zealand).
  • Partner with functional leaders to help drive business growth by developing and executing the country sales plan through tailoring value propositions to local consumer behaviors and regulatory landscapes.

Team Development

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and APAC teams to align regional/global initiatives.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a multicultural leadership team.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture with a focus on talent development and succession planning.

Stakeholder Management

  • Strengthen relationships with governments, distributors, and key clients.
  • Collaborate with regional/global Engineering, supply chain, product and marketing teams to align regional/global priorities.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to local regulations (e.g., trade, labor) and global compliance standards.
  • Mitigate risks related to geopolitical shifts, supply chain disruptions, or economic volatility.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

  • Champion digital initiatives (e.g., e-commerce, SAP, Sales Force, CRM - driven analytics) to enhance operational agility.
  • Promote sustainable practices in line with ESG goals.

*Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)

  • 15+ years in senior leadership roles, including 5+ years managing multi-country P&Ls in SEAP.
  • Distinct business acumen and thorough understanding of the dynamics of the SEAP Automotive Aftermarket.
  • Proven P&L track record (revenue/margin growth, cost control) and strategic execution in multicultural settings.
  • Graduate with a preference for a business / marketing focus. MBA a distinct advantage
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience in volatility, and ability to balance local/global priorities.
  • Highly developed skill and expertise in customer interaction, negotiation and issue resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both in English & local language.
  • Demonstrates a leadership style that aligns with the company values.
