About The Role
This position will:
- Develop and implement asset governance processes and frameworks for asset data management, information and regulatory compliance processes as well as asset capitalisation and valuations.
- Develop asset data management techniques for improving asset register data integrity for various infrastructure asset types including transport, water, wastewater, solid waste, open space, etc.
- Assist Officers in creating and maintaining Infrastructure and Operations Division's asset register and mapping.
- Delivery of internal and external audits/effectiveness reviews and report on outcomes.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of asset data in corporate asset registers and improve the geographic representation of assets to support decision-making.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy, procedures and standards.
- Engage regularly with Business Services to ensure that financial modelling, asset capitalisation, reporting and asset audit requirements are aligned.
- Identify, investigate and pioneer asset data management system improvements for the Infrastructure and Operations Division.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections to demonstrate visible safety leadership and participation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership for the Institution of Engineers Australia.
- Advanced asset management skills in infrastructure asset types including asset renewal and maintenance strategies, concepts, theories, techniques and principles.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems including Microsoft Office suite, GIS and Business Management Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in performing asset maintenance and renewal improvement programs.
- Demonstrated experience in ISO55000 and scheduled audits to conform to Asset Compliance.
- 2 to 5 years of working experience in a similar role.
- Current Queensland "C" class driver's licence.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Council policy, procedures and practices, relevant legislations, codes and guidelines relating to the QLD Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards as well as industry codes of practice and other associated legislation and codes relevant to the position (preferred).
