Our government client is seeking an S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Functional Expert for an initial 12-month contract, primarily based in Richlands with one day WFH per week. In this role, you will join a specialist delivery team on a large supply chain program, designing, configuring, and supporting order-to-cash processes in S/4HANA while ensuring seamless integration with related modules and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with project teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and process challenges, then translate them into fit-for-purpose S/4HANA SD solutions.
  • Design and configure SD components including sales orders, contracts, pricing, delivery, billing, and returns, ensuring accuracy of customer, pricing, and tax master data.
  • Ensure integration with MM, FI, EWM, BTP, and external systems, collaborating closely with the Solution Architect to meet audit, data governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare documentation including process flows, detailed design, configuration and functional specs, test scripts, and end-user guides.
  • Lead and support testing phases across unit, integration, and UAT; contribute to cutover planning and hyper-care to stabilise production.
  • Provide clear, timely stakeholder communications, and identify opportunities to optimise system performance and enhance user experience.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across supply chain practices and S/4HANA SD configuration, with a strong grasp of end-to-end order-to-cash and integration to MM, FI, EWM, and external systems. They will be adept at fit-gap analysis, translating requirements into design, and delivering across the full implementation lifecycle. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
