, we are seeking an experienced and motivated
Mechanical Project Engineer
to join our delivery team at
St Marys Station box
. In this role, you will lead the coordination, installation, and commissioning of key mechanical systems across the facility, ensuring engineering excellence and timely project delivery.

This position is ideal for a mechanical engineer with experience in building services, rail infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects who is looking to play a pivotal role on one of Australia's most significant transport infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of mechanical systems including HVAC, fire protection, water services, compressed air, and other essential services.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are delivered to design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate installation activities, manage interfaces with other disciplines (electrical, structural, civil), and ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation including method statements, ITPs, RFIs, and NCRs.
  • Monitor construction progress, track milestones, and provide regular reporting to senior engineering and project teams.
  • Support commissioning activities and provide technical input throughout testing and handover stages.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Engage in design reviews, provide constructability input, and work closely with consultants and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, ideally on infrastructure, rail, or large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating mechanical works from design through to commissioning.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian mechanical standards, construction codes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • A proactive and safety-focused mindset with a keen eye for detail.
