We have current opportunity for a full time Policy Officer based in our Brisbane CBD Office.
As the Policy Officer you will support the Senior Policy Advisor within the College's Operations business unit and work within the policy and advocacy team. This work will include assisting in the preparation and coordination of policy reports, submissions, documentation and analysis, and engagement with College members and stakeholders on related issues. You will support the delivery of the College-wide agenda to progress its strategic goals and to operate to the highest professional standards.
Your team works under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment so the ability to work calmly under pressure, be flexible and adaptable are key traits to ensuring our goals are met.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
An eye for detail, expertise for analysing and discussing policy and excellent writing skills
Interest in progressing and advocating for policy outcomes in the rural health space
Capacity to work effectively with continuous change and complex timeframes and priorities
Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
A positive attitude and enjoy working in a team collaborating towards strategic goals
Excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to respond well to completing tasks on time and meeting required standards.
Understanding of remote and rural communities including remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the healthcare training and policy context would be of benefit.
