Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Seafreight Cartage Co-Ordinator to join our Sydney team based at Camellia.

About the Role:

As a Seafreight Cartage Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the local transport of sea freight shipments. Working closely with our operations and customer service teams, you will ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of containers, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering emails or phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Using in-house system (Communicater) and other systems (Freighttracker, 1-Stop, Cargo Wise) to complete job management

  • Ensuring all deliveries have correct contact and delivery details to meet customer requirements & delivery expectations

  • Monitor container availability, dehire deadlines, and detention/demurrage risks

  • Scheduling deliveries in line with GPSM Operations & Fleet requirements
  • Monitor and follow up empty container status & DAFF delayed shipments
  • Resolve issues and promptly communicate any delays on the day to the customers/ relevant departments
  • Organise all Import/Export shipments to ensure containers are pre-booked for delivery/collection in line with customer delivery preferences
  • Actively identifying opportunities to improve customer service and reduce additional costs for customers

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a cartage or seafreight operations role (freight forwarding preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and freight management systems such as 1-Stop, CargoWise & Freighttracker.
  • Strong knowledge of Sydney port processes and container logistics
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
