We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Dispatch Team Leader to oversee and work alongside our busy dispatch team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, enjoys leading people, and has a strong eye for quality and detail.

About the Role

As Dispatch Team Leader, you will:

• Lead, coordinate, and motivate the dispatch team to meet daily operational priorities.
• Step in to support hands-on tasks such as deliveries, loading, planting, and stock transfers when required.
• Ensure trees are selected, handled, and delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Liaise with the Dispatch Coordinator, Sales, and Operations teams to maintain smooth workflows.
• Drive efficiency, problem-solve on the go, and ensure customer service excellence at every touchpoint.

This role keeps you close to the action – leading from the front while staying connected to operational challenges and opportunities.

A Typical Day Might Include

• Kicking off with a team briefing, setting priorities for the day's orders and deliveries.
• Checking in with the Dispatch Coordinator and Sales Team to confirm delivery runs and customer requirements.
• Driving an MR/HR truck to deliver trees across metro Perth or coordinating planting projects with the team.
• Selecting and loading advanced trees, ensuring they meet Ellenby's high-quality standards.
• Stepping in to support the team during busy periods – from operating loaders and telehandlers to assisting with planting.
• Wrapping up the day by reviewing progress and assessing issues.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• MR or HR class driver's licence (essential).
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a practical, hands-on role.
• Background in horticulture, landscaping, nursery work, or related industry (preferred).
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and reliability.
• Safety awareness and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Physical capacity to handle outdoor, physical work in all weather conditions.

Tickets for loader or telehandler operation are desirable but not essential.
