Client Details

We have been exclusively retained by our client, a leading listed mining company, who are seeking a highly motivated Site Accountant to join a dynamic team at a well-established operation in New South Wales

Description

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, manage revenue and cost tracking, perform month-end activities including accruals, allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the annual budget process, develop accurate financial models, and provide cost and variance analysis to aid business decision-making.
  • Monitor capital expenditure, allocate costs appropriately, close out projects, and maintain the fixed assets register.
  • Manage financial records within the ERP system, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and prepare reports for relevant state departments.
  • Work closely with departments to improve financial operations, optimise purchasing and inventory processes, and support audit requirements.

Profile

  • CPA/CA qualified with audit experience is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with senior level stakeholders
  • Prior mining experience is a distinct advantage
  • Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen
