About the role

At the Portland Memorial Bowling Club, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Waiter to join our team. This full-time role will see you providing excellent service and hospitality to our members and guests in our vibrant clubhouse. You will be an integral part of our operations, contributing to the overall success and enjoyment of the club.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing friendly and efficient table service to members and guests
  • Taking food and beverage orders, accurately processing payments, and delivering orders in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean and organised dining area, restocking supplies, and ensuring tables are set to high standards
  • Assisting with food preparation and plating as required
  • Responding promptly to customer enquiries and addressing any concerns
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar customer service role, ideally within the hospitality industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
  • Relevant food handling and responsible service of alcohol certifications (or willingness to obtain)
